James spent the first 25 years of his career in the areas of personal life and disability insurance and working with employers of all sizes on helping to design and implement effective employee benefit plans. Over the last ten years, James has become a specialist and expert in the areas of Medicare, Medicare Supplement and Advantage plans, as well as Part D.

James' strength is in understanding each client's circumstance to be able to make the "right " recommendation. James is a native Duluthian who has been active in the community and is a past president of the UMD Alumni Association. He has been a valued employee of Johnson Insurance Consultants for more than 30 years.
